On Sunday afternoon, a 30-year-old Plainwell area man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Allegan County Martin Township.
The wreck was responded to around 5:16 p.m. by Allegan County Sheriff Deputies, Michigan State Police, and Plainwell Department of Public Safety.
On arrival of the authorities, a man was found unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle. Upon being rescued, life-saving measures were performed, but he did not survive.
The preliminary reports say the man was travelling north on 6th street and south of 114th avenue when he lost control of the vehicle. He then veered off the roadway and hit a tree.
Names of drivers are withheld until their families are notified.
No signs of impairment, the officials said.
