According to the Riverside Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Alessandro Boulevard, north of Glenhaven Avenue. The driver of a Vitacci scooter skidded off the six-lane corridor. Subsequently, he struck the light standard.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The identity of the 30-year-old driver is pending determination. The involvement of drugs or alcohol in the collision has not yet been confirmed.
The crash continues to be investigated by the RPD. There are no other details available at this time.
