3-Year-Old Toddler Killed In A Hit-And-Run Accident In Kern County (Kern County, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Kern County on Wednesday. The crash happened on Adobe Road near Highway 223 at around 7 p.m. 

According to the firefighters, a 3-year-old and a 2020 GMC truck were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the GMC driver struck the unknown person and fled the scene. 

A 3-year-old toddler was identified as the pedestrian who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the child is not yet known at this time. 

According to the investigators, it is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Kern County officers.
