The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Harris county.
Rosendo Gaeta allegedly struck a car that was stopped at a red light on FM 2920 near Kuykendahl Road on Wednesday night around 8 p.m
A truck struck the back of a hatchback, which struck the back of an SUV.
It’s unclear who was behind the wheel of each car.
Herman claims Gaeta sprinted away from the incident.
According to Constable Mark Herman, Rosendo Gaeta is accused of two counts of intoxication assault, two counts of failing to stop and render aid resulting in serious bodily injury, and one count of intoxication manslaughter.
The victims, two adults, and a 3-year-old child were being treated by first responders.
The child had fatal injuries and was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital and passed away there later.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
