According to the Washington State Patrol, a motor vehicle crash was reported on Thursday night in Vancouver.
Officials confirmed that three people were injured due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near the Lieser Road exit.
A car crashed with an attenuator.
The force of the impact caused the vehicle to flip and hit the median barrier.
The three people who were inside the vehicle managed to exit the car.
Shortly later, another vehicle struck them losing control due to the ice.
All three of them sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Centre.
Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be factors that led to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation by the WSP.
