According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a fatal crash was reported in Dalhart.

Officials confirmed that 3 people died due to the accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Highway 54, south of Dalhart.

A tractor trailer rear ended another one. 

This set off the chain reaction which resulted in a multi-vehicular crash.

The wreck involved 4 semis, a pickup and an SUV.

No other details pertaining to the crash, including the names of the deceased persons, have been revealed yet.

The crash is being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
