The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported a multi-vehicle accident in Palmdale on Friday. The accident occurred on Pearblossom Highway at around 3:30 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. A 2017 Kia Sorento was headed east on the highway when it crossed into the westbound lanes. This put it in the path of a 2023 Toyota Tacoma which was not able to move out of the way in time. The two vehicles collided with each other.
Three people were fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. They included the driver of the Kia as well as the driver and the passenger of the Tacoma. The identity of the deceased victims has not been disclosed at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. There are no other details available.
