According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle occurred in Fontana on Saturday.
The crash happened on the 210 Freeway at around 6:30 a.m.
According to the investigators, a 2012 Ford and a 2001 Lexus were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the Ford was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck the Lexus.
A 23-year-old man, a 43-year-old man, and a 16-year-old female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. A 5-year-old girl, a 3-year-old boy, and a 42-year-old woman suffered significant injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The identities of both the injured and the deceased have not been disclosed.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the officials.
