The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident late Wednesday night.
The accident occurred on the U.S. 93 about 15 miles north of Wickenberg.
The collision involved two cars. One driver was trying to pass traffic on the northbound lanes. He entered the southbound lane and crashed into another vehicle.
Upon the arrival of the medics, the driver and the passengers of the car hit were pronounced dead.
The driver of the other car was found dead after their vehicle had caught fire.
The identities of the victims have not been disclosed by the authorities.
The authorities have not confirmed what caused the crash. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal accident.
