The accident happened on Interstate 75 at around 4 a.m.
The collision involved four tractor-trailers.
The first trailer, which was blocking a lane, was hit by another tractor-trailer as deputies were making their way to the scene of the single-truck collision.
In the center lane, the second tractor-trailer came to a stop.
One of the trucks that were blocking I-75 overturned after being hit by two additional tractor-trailers.
Three of the four drivers incurred non-life-threatening wounds and were transported to a nearby hospital.
