3 people injured after a two-vehicle crash in Park Township; distracted driving a factor (Holland, MI)

On Wednesday, three people suffered injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Park Township.

The car accident took place shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Butternut Drive near 148th Avenue. The early reports revealed that a 31-year-old Muskegon man, driving a 2013 Dodge Dart north got distracted by his phone as a result of which the Dart went over the centerline. The car then crashed into a southbound 2021 Ford Expedition driven by a 37-year-old Utah man.

The Muskegon man was transported by AMR ambulance to Holland Hospital with non-critical injuries. North Ottawa Ambulance rushed two passengers of the Ford, a 50-year-old Utah woman and a 46-year-old Idaho man, to Holland Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening. The Ford’s driver remained uninjured. Alcohol did not seem to be involved in the accident.

An investigation is ongoing.
