3 People Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash On Highway 67 (Runnels County, TX)

On Thursday morning, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 67. 

A preliminary investigation revealed Benjamin Nathaniel Sapp, 24, of Crowley, was driving east on Highway 67 when he attempted to pass another vehicle on a curve and struck a pickup truck driven by H. O. Akin III, 51, of Comanche.

Jacob Alexander Gray, 25, of Lewisville, who was traveling with Sapp, also died at the scene. Another passenger, Lindsey Gale Perry-Gray, 22, was taken to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo with incapacitating injuries.

Akin’s passenger, 48-year-old Sarah Evelyn Brown, also died at the scene. Akin was treated for his injuries and released from Shannon. 

DPS is investigating the crash.
