3 People Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Sunnyvale (Sunnyvale, CA)

The Sunnyvale Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Monday early morning. The accident happened on Highway 101 involving multiple vehicles.

The men were in vehicles that collided with a broken-down Ford pickup truck that was obstructing the far left lane of northbound Highway 101 just south of Fair Oaks Avenue. The pickup truck had hit the median.

The men were standing next to the median after the collision when two more cars crashed into the scene, where they were struck by a southbound car.

Nicacio Negrete Gutiérrez, 53, of Sunnyvale, Tyler Rasay, 28, of South San Francisco, and Paul Dennig Jr., 24, of Mountain View all passed away.

Lee stated that the fatal crash is still being investigated. There was no immediate sign that any of the drivers were intoxicated or drugged.
