The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash on Sunday early morning. The collision happened on Vineyard Road just west of Cook Riolo Road at around 1:50 a.m.
Authorities claim a 2008 BMW being driven by a 21-year-old man at high speed collided with a power pole. The driver lost control of the vehicle after colliding with the power pole, causing it to flip multiple times before coming to rest on the shoulder.
The three occupants of the car, three Roseville, California, men in their twenties, were all confirmed dead at the scene after incurring fatal injuries. The identities of the victims are not yet known at this time.
According to the CHP, a toxicology report from the Placer County Coroner’s Office is still pending, but it is unclear at this point whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.
