According to the officials, a fiery multi-vehicle crash occurred in Santa Clarita.
The crash happened on San Francisquito Canyon Road at around 4 p.m.
The officials stated that two vehicles, a GMC Suburban and a BMW were involved in the crash.
According to the investigating team, the white BMW was traveling southbound on San Francisquito Canyon when it left the roadway and went onto the shoulder. The driver then overcorrected and swerved into the path of the Suburban heading northbound.
Three men including the driver and passenger of the BMW and the driver of the Suburban were declared dead at the scene.
The officials stated that a man and a woman were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators are looking into whether drugs, alcohol, or excessive speed caused the crash.
