29-Year-Old Woman Killed In A Hit-And-Run Crash In Banning (Banning, CA)

Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance following a hit-and-run incident that resulted in a fatal crash on the 10 Freeway in Banning. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene of the collision on the eastbound 10 near 8th Street shortly after 12:30 a.m. on March 13.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 29-year-old woman lying in the No. 4 lane of the freeway.

The CHP news release issued on Tuesday did not disclose the victim’s identity but confirmed that she was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to investigators, the woman was walking within the freeway lanes when she was struck by an unidentified vehicle that fled the scene. It remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward to aid in the investigation.
