29-year-old Tyler S Haynes injured after an auto-pedestrian accident on westbound Highway 14 (Vancouver, WA)

Authorities identified 29-year-old Tyler S Haynes, from Vancouver, as the woman who suffered injuries after being hit by a vehicle Sunday evening on State Highway 14.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 5:45 p.m. According to the investigation reports, Haynes was driving a 2005 Ford Focus east on the highway and was involved in a crash near Southeast 164th Avenue. Her car became stalled on the left shoulder. Haynes came out of her car, hopped the barrier and attempted to run across the westbound lanes. Just then, she got hit by a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 35-year-old Cesar E Serrano Calles, of Vancouver, remained unharmed. On arrival, emergency personnel transported Tyler S Haynes to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with unspecified injuries. At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision. No other details have been provided by the authorities.

An investigation continues.
