The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle crash in Terrebonne Parish.
The collision involved only one vehicle.
According to Trooper Ross Brennan, 29-year-old Steven English was driving a fast car on LA Highway 15.
According to Brennan, the cause of why the driver veered off the road to the right while negotiating a left-hand curve, overturned, and then hit a tree, is still being looked into.
He was declared dead at the scene by the officials.
Brennan states that while a toxicology sample is pending, investigators think impairment was a contributing factor.
No other details regarding the fatal crash are available currently.
