29-Year-Old Pat Casey Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Ramona (Ramona, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon. The accident took place at Slayground Motocross Park, which is owned by three-time gold medalist in the X Games Moto X competition, Axell Hodges, around 2:45 p.m.

According to CHP Officer Jared Grieshaber, a rider attempted a jump but failed to land properly, causing the motorcycle to appear to fall on top of them.

The emergency personnel continued CPR until the rider was declared dead at about 3:40 p.m. He was identified as Pat Casey, 29. Competitive BMX rider Casey recently took part in the X Games Japan competition in May. He came in ninth in BMX Park and fifth in Best Trick.
