The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Neward on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred in the westbound lanes of State Highway 84 at around 1:22 p.m. 

According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A blue Honda sedan lost control while it was going down the westbound lane. The vehicle then crashed into the centre divide of the highway. 

The driver was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. The fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. The officials have confirmed that alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the collision.
