The El Paso Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday morning, The accident happened along I-10 West and Raynolds at around 5 a.m.
The central concrete barrier of Interstate 10 was repeatedly struck by a 29-year-old Hispanic man before he came to a stop on the right shoulder. The driver and the front passenger got out of the car and started fighting, according to the police. According to the police, the driver lost his balance while attempting to attack the passenger.
The man stumbled into oncoming traffic and was hit by at least two cars. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger fled the scene. The two motorists who ran over the man were unharmed. Police suspect that alcohol may have played a role in the fatal crash.
