According to the Louisiana State Police Troop E, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday in Avoyelles Parish.
Officials confirmed that a 29-year-old man died due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Louisiana Highway 361.
A 2013 Toyota Avalon, driven by Richard, was traveling northbound.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck multiple trees.
Richard sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
Alcohol is being suspected as one of the factors that might have led to the accident.
The crash is being investigated by the LSPTE.
