The Texas Department of Public Safety is probing a fatal crash in Reeves County that claimed the life of 29-year-old Katrina Franco. The motor vehicle accident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on February 17, on Business Interstate 20 near mile marker 228.
According to DPS, Franco was driving a Ford Focus westbound when her vehicle veered off the road, resulting in a rollover crash. Investigators revealed that Franco, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the factors contributing to the tragic accident. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
