According to the Springfield Police Department, a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles that took place in Springfield claimed the life of a 29-year-old who later has been identified as Jordan Oswalt.
Roughly at 7:30 p.m., Oswalt driving his Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound at the intersection of Sunshine Street, Scenic Avenue, for unknown reasons struck a Honda Odyssey van that was traveling westbound. Even after being transported to the hospital, Oswalt was fatally injured and was pronounced dead.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
