The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash in Kittitas County. The accident happened on Interstate 90 in Ellensburg.
Elijah Mayfield, 29, of Carnation, Washington, was driving east on I-90, 21 miles east of Ellensburg when he reportedly lost control. The trailer-towed 2013 Ram 2500 pickup truck rolled before coming to rest in the median.
The driver was airlifted to King County for medical attention, but at Boeing Airfield, he was pronounced dead due to his fatal injuries.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional details are available currently.
