The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported a three-vehicle accident on Sunday. The accident occurred on Old Highway 395, in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15.
According to the officials, a block Toyota Tacoma was heading north on the highway when it crashed into a chain link fence. It then rolled down an embankment where it crashed into a black Kia Forte and a white Tesla 3 in the southbound lanes.
Two people were pronounced dead in this fatal crash. They have since been identified as 29-year-old Courtney Taylor and her 4-year-old daughter, Amaya Taylor.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma, identified as Erick Arambula, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
