According to the Akron Police Department, a solo motor vehicle crash that took place in Akron claimed the life of a woman on Monday.
Approximately at 6:25 a.m., a woman driving her Chevrolet Equinox lost control of the vehicle, swerved off the road, and struck a concrete sign on Ghent Road. As a result, the vehicle was engulfed in flames and the woman was declared dead.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
