The Los Angeles Police Department reported a hit-and-run accident in Sun Valley on Friday morning. The accident occurred on Lankershim Boulevard near the intersection with Arminta Street at around 1:50 a.m.
According to the officials, a pedestrian and a dark-coloured sedan were involved in the collision. The sedan was headed north on Lankershim when it hit the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 28-year-old Tahri Joseph.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
