The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Oxnard on Friday. The accident occurred on Harbor Boulevard near Oxnard at around 5:30 a.m.
According to the officials, a 1991 Mazda B2200 pickup truck was headed south on Harbor, just north of the intersection with Gonzales Road. The driver made an unsafe turning movement and lost control of the truck. This caused it to hit a curb and overturn.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle as he was not wearing his seatbelt. He incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. The victim has since been identified as 28-year-old Samuel Z. Quezada.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. There are no other details available at this time.
