28-year-old Ryan Briggs died after a two-vehicle accident on the Northeast Side (San Antonio, TX)

Officials identified 28-year-old Ryan Briggs as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Sunday on the city’s Northeast Side.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash happened at around 9:30 am on Toepperwein Road and Loma Azul Street. The early reports showed that a Sedan driven by Briggs crashed into a pickup truck for reasons that are yet to be known.

Briggs was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials. The driver of the pickup was taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. It is also unknown if impairment or speed contributed to the collision. No other information is available.

An investigation is ongoing.
