On Tuesday, 28-year-old Meghan Marcantel, a resident of Lake Charles, lost her life following a single-vehicle accident on 210 westbound.
According to the Lake Charles Police Department, the fatal incident took place at about 8 p.m. on 210 westbound near Cove Lane. As per the reports, Marcantel was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander on 210 westbound when she lost control of her vehicle for still unknown reasons.
The vehicle overturned onto the roof and hit a center concrete median, as a result of which Marcantel was ejected from the vehicle. On arrival, emergency crews declared her deceased. Officials have not released any further details regarding the crash at this time.
An investigation into the deadly collision is ongoing.
