A 28-year-old man lost his life following a wreck Tuesday night in Riverside.
As per the initial information, the fatal three-vehicle accident took place at about 12:30 p.m. on Jurupa Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard. The preliminary reports showed that a 36-year-old Banning man was traveling west on Jurupa Avenue in his Dodge Durango SUV. He entered the intersection at the same time as a Honda Accord and a Scion crossed in the southbound lanes of Van Buren Boulevard.
The Dodge collided with the Honda and the Scion. As of now, it is not confirmed whether the SUV failed to yield at a red light. On arrival, the first responders rushed the 28-year-old Honda driver to Riverside Community Hospital with major injuries. However, he later succumbed to his injuries. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
