According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported in Victorville. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Highway 66 west of Tepusquet Road. A westbound Chevy Tahoe struck a Silverado.
The passenger in the Silverado identified as a 28-year-old died at the scene of the wreck. The drivers of both vehicles sustained major injuries. A bicycle attached to the back of the Tahoe was dislodged.
The cause of the collision is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
