The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Department reported a motor vehicle accident last Sunday. The accident occurred on Gold Course Road. The timing of the accident is not known.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A stolen vehicle had crashed into a woman and had fled the scene before the police could arrive.
The woman who was hit incurred critical injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle involved had initially fled the scene. However, he was critically injured as well and succumbed to his injuries. The officials found him dead.
The officials have identified the man as 28-year-old Fernando Flores. The fatal crash is still being investigated at this time.
