The Tucson Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday. The accident occurred at Alvernon and Los Reales. The time of the accident is not yet known.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A garbage truck was headed north in the southbound lanes of Alvernon Way. The vehicle then headed towards the shoulder before flipping over.
The passenger present in the truck was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have identified the victim as 28-year-old Devin James Kilcoin.
The fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
