On Sunday morning, 28-year-old Colby Foster, from Minden, lost his life following a single-vehicle accident in Webster Parish.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place shortly before 11 a.m. on Dorcheat Road, just south of Benson Road. The preliminary investigation indicated that Colby Foster was driving a 2007 Dodge Nitro southbound when his car went off the road as he steered the wheel abruptly. After that, the car drove across Dorcheat Road and entered a ditch, where it rolled over and hit a tree.
Foster suffered major injuries and was declared deceased at the scene by the officials. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Officials believe that speed played a role in the accident whereas impairment was not involved. Routine toxicology samples were obtained and submitted for analysis. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
