A fatal crash occurred in Goodyear early Friday morning, resulting in the death of 28-year-old Breanna Moreno. The accident occurred near Litchfield Road and Palm Valley Boulevard, north of McDowell Road, around 4:30 a.m.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A car was headed down the road when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree. The driver was critically injured and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. She was later identified.
The cause of the motor vehicle accident is currently under investigation, but authorities suggest that speeding may have been a contributing factor. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
