According to the Phoenix Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in Phoenix.The incident reportedly took place at 2 AM near Tatum and Shea Boulevards. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
The incident involved a rideshare vehicle and one other car. The woman driving the second vehicle crashed into the rideshare vehicle. The passenger of the rideshare, identified as 28-year-old Alec Carbine was pronounced dead when rushed to the hospital.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the woman driving the second vehicle disobeyed a red light and collided with the rideshare.
Further insights into the accident are pending release.The crash continues to be investigated by the PPD.
