The Los Angeles Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday early morning. The accident happened close to Cayuga Avenue at around 4 a.m.
According to the Police, a northbound blue 2015 Nissan Versa near Cayuga Avenue struck the back of a semi-truck on Lankershim Boulevard. The truck struck the back of the Versa, which caused it to flip over, and the truck then drove away.
A 26-year-old woman who was operating that first car was pronounced dead at the scene. She was initially identified as being 27 years old, but her name has not been disclosed yet.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
