According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Santa Cruz on Wednesday morning. The accident resulted in the death of a 27-year-old man. The accident occurred on Highway 1, near the Morrissey Boulevard exit.
Approximately at 7:43 a.m., a 27-year-old man driving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck lost control of the vehicle and swerved off the road. The pickup truck fell into an embankment and toppled down. The 27-year-old man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
