A road rage incident in Spanish Fork turned fatal as a 27-year-old man died after fleeing from police and crashing into a large tree. The altercation began around 2:15 a.m. when the suspect confronted another driver at a traffic light on 800 North Highway 6, engaging in aggressive behavior.

The situation escalated as the suspect began ramming the other vehicle, prompting the driver to call 911 and attempt to evade the aggressor. Despite police intervention and an attempted traffic stop, the suspect fled at high speed, ultimately colliding with a tree on 500 North 400 East.

Despite efforts to save him, the suspect, identified as a Springville resident, succumbed to his injuries on the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
