According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Friday in Pine Valley.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Old Highway 80.
A man driving his Ford F350 Super Duty turned right wrongly as the roadway curved left. The car then struck a tree and overturned.
The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Other details including the identity of the deceased person remain unknown.
The involvement of alcohol or drugs has not been determined. The cause of the accident has not been revealed yet. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
