Authorities identified 27-year-old Crystal Garcia as the woman who lost her life following a traffic collision that also injured three young boys just after midnight on New Year’s Day.

As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place at 12:30 a.m. near 38th Street and Greenway Road. The preliminary reports showed that a black Ford SUV struck a red Nissan sedan. A secondary collision happened between the black SUV and a red Honda sedan afterwards.

A woman who was sitting in the passenger seat of the Nissan succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. She was identified as 27-year-old Crystal Garcia. Her city of residence remains unknown at this time. The three boys, who were also in the Nissan, were hospitalized with minimal injuries.

The adult male driver of the SUV was processed for DUI, but has been released pending the outcome of the investigation. His identity has also not been revealed. No other details are available.
