The Beaumont Police Department reported a multi-vehicle accident on Monday. The accident occurred in the 800 block of West Fourth Street, near Nicholas Road at about 11:50 p.m.
According to the officials, a bike and a car were involved in a collision. The events leading up to the accident are not yet known at this time.
The biker incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He had since been identified as 27-year-old Christopher Anderson from San Jacinto.
A passenger in the vehicle incurred minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The driver was not injured.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
