A fatal crash unfolded on State Highway 249 near County Road 304, capturing the attention of Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers. The tragic motor vehicle accident occurred at 3:23 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2021 Nissan Maxima, driven by 26-year-old Stephen Oderinde of Spring, was traveling northbound at an unsafe speed for the roadway conditions.
Tragedy struck when the vehicle hydroplaned, collided with a concrete culvert, flipped, and eventually submerged in water. Oderinde was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, he was later pronounced dead by hospital staff.
The fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. There are no other details available at this time.
