According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Fresno County on Sunday. The crash happened in the area of Cherry and Lincoln Avenues at around 5:15 a.m.
According to the investigators, an unknown vehicle and a semi-truck were involved in the collision. The unknown driver was traveling at a high speed and struck into the back of a parked semi-truck.
A 26-year-old was identified as the unknown driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Fresno County Police Department did not reveal the name of the unknown deceased person.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
