Tragedy struck Lake Elsinore on New Year’s Day as 26-year-old Desiree Estrada lost her life in a rollover crash. The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau identified the victim on Tuesday.
The victim was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 3:30 a.m. The solo-vehicle crash occurred on southbound Lakeshore Drive, approximately 300 feet south of Manning Street. Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station discovered the overturned vehicle just before 3:30 a.m., with Estrada trapped inside.
Despite lifesaving measures by Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, she succumbed to her injuries. The motor vehicle accident remains under investigation, and no other injuries were reported in this devastating fatal crash.
