According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in San Jacinto. The crash happened at the intersection at San Jacinto on Friday.
According to the investigators, a 26-year-old and a Nissan Maxima were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the Nissan driver was traveling northbound and struck the Sheriff’s SUV.
A 26-year-old Deputy was identified as the SUV driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has since been disclosed as Brett Harris.
According to the reports, it is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies
