According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Watsonville on Saturday. The crash happened on Holohan Road near Grimmer Road at around 10:22 p.m.
According to the investigators, a 2007 Volvo XC90 and a 2015 Hyundai Elantra were involved in the collision. A 26-year-old Breanna Romero was identified as the Hyundai driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Some portions of Holohan Road near Grimmer Road are blocked for further investigation. According to the deputies, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved.
