A tragic collision in the Oakland Hills claimed the life of a 25-year-old woman and left five others injured early Sunday morning, according to police reports. The identity of the deceased woman, an Oakland resident, has not yet been disclosed.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred around 4:59 a.m. in the 4500 block of Joaquin Miller Road. Police indicated that an Infiniti sedan traveling southbound in the northbound lanes collided head-on with a Honda SUV traveling in the opposite direction.
Both vehicles, each carrying three occupants, were involved in the collision. The deceased woman was the rear passenger in the Honda, driven by a 43-year-old man. Another passenger, a 40-year-old man, was also in the Honda. The circumstances surrounding the fatal crash and the relationship between the occupants remain under investigation by authorities.
